Morning Song

I long
to take all of my
foolish future fears
and useless melancholy
and funnel them up into this
blue raspberry cotton candy sky
float them loose out into this
breeze-stirred sea
and see
where they land, tempered
lake glass tumbled
onto silken sand
brokenness smoothed
into art;
……………open hands
……………………..healing heart.

Perhaps they are your problems only because you own them – set them free and let God handle them. :) Wonderful imagery, as always.

  2. Misky says:

And a very happy morning to you, too, De!

Art indeed, my friend, it can all be beautiful if we give it to His hands…love what you’ve done here. :)

    mmm “silken sand…” sigh…

  6. I thought I commented on this. But maybe not. These are my favorites:

“and funnel them up into this
    blue raspberry cotton candy sky”

    “tempered
    lake glass tumbled
    onto silken sand
    brokenness smoothed”

Please take mine, too. I want to see what will happen. What a wonderful thought, “smoothed into art.” That would be nice.
