(a semi-found poem, with sheepish apologies to Edie Brickell…and possibly Kellogg’s)
Oh, Life
You fragile, fleeting, floating thing
(snap, crackle, pop)
with your
squares
loops
flakes
clusters
bites
honey
c r u n c h
up to your old Trix
with your puffs and your oats
and your
ohhhhhhhs…
when Lucky,
not without your Charms
but more often soggy
as a dog’s smile.
Silly rabbit.

“… religion is the smile on a dog.” Love the Edie references. I listen to that CD all the time. 🙂
Loved the ending: “serving size may vary.” Cute.
I love Edie AND cereal!! This is a hit with me Miss De!
THis is absolutely delightful! ❤
