Jack. Jill.
Water. Hill.
Oh, sure. They fell.
But what nobody tells
is what the heck Jack was doing
up there with Jill in the first place,
when he’s supposedly going steady with
Bo Peep. And nobody bothers to remember
just how long it took to recover from the concussion
or the looooong discussion that occurred with Miss Peep
while both of them should have been counting sheep. And then
there’s poor jilted Jill, tumbled and dumped, although she accidently
bumped into Little Boy Blue the next day, and let’s just say his horn did
unscorn that sweet lass, though the sheep, alas, still thirsty…all ran away.

This is awesome, the title is perfect, De! Also you’ve led me to a new poem place, forever grateful! 🙂
Yay! New to me, too. Come play! 🙂
Oh, neat!! You’re such a motivator for me! So happy to have a sweet poet who knows all the places to go, for a friend! ((hugs))
*giggles* Love that! You may know by now that I’m…slightly…into faery tales. And humor. And snarkiness. And shaped poetry. So, yeah. 😛
Did you get to see my rewrite and reader challenge on my poem for the SundayPost “Light” prompt?
Very creative and cute!
Hilarious! This is so clever. 🙂 Love, love, love the shaping.
