Adagio, Adonai

At ease.
It’s the way my heart feels
when I lift my hands and stand
knowing you are listening;
knowing you are smiling
because this is my truest me, this
De who finally sheds herself
fears, tears
hesitant heart
and lets the phrases leak in
lets the praise begin with smallest
whisper, gentle breeze spilling
through accordion lungs,
tongue tied but in tune
with this moment,
Me.
Here.
So small
yet so adored,
and so grateful
to stand in this amazing place,
your grace.

    Wow, this is gorgeous.

“and lets the phrases leak in”

  3. Oh!! I almost missed this one among the bunch, so glad I sifted through an overflowing inbox to search for gems! Such beauty and honesty. I love this, De!

    Me.

Your image and this and your accordion lungs, so amazing!
