This pane has
been between us long
enough; we
seek, slate sky
weeps, for this pain has been be

Ahhh… love this — so simple, so complex.
Love love love the shadorma–one of my favorite short forms. This one has a clever mirror image reversal that is exactly right for the picture, which seems to show a face, but does it really? and the staggering and enjambment adds some tension and texture.
Love the play in exploring double meaning, really CAN feel the physical pain and pane between. Nice one, De!
Brilliant… Funny me, thought that was the Poetic Asides Communication prompt you were responding to. 🙂
This cut to the quick in a very few words. Excellent metaphor!
Gorgeous! I love “slate sky.”
This week’s words are up, De:

exquisite!
Thank you all so much. Laura, it is such a beautiful, evocative photo. So glad you feel I did it justice.
