Once Upon a Time

(a short story)

Mary, worn.
Joseph, torn.
Tired feet.
Crowded street.
Full womb.
No room.
……………Humble, tumbled start.

Thorned crown.
Laid down.
Aching loss.
Quiet cross.
Then, soon:
Empty tomb.
……………Full, forgiven heart.

  1. LOVE THIS! So truthful, striking, beautiful!

  2. nice, neat – horroble words but taken for what they actually mean – the sentinment is neatly, nicely put, an original slant on a worn smooth story

  3. Lisa Tulak says:

    Love this.
