Oh, Charlotte.
Where are you when we need you
to weave happy words over our be
-fuddled heads, whisper
(salutations)
sacred truths
into our soiled
pink ears
when all else
in our
(some big)
crazy
world
is
un
spun.
Day #23 brings an Ekphrastic poem. I wanted to do one with a children’s book illustration, and this one just spoke to me.

Oh, I love this. Am tweeting and emailing to my daughters.
Aww, thanks Bonnie. 🙂
One of my all time favorite characters!!! I am so in love with this poem, De!!
“Where are you when we need you

LOVE IT!!
Mine, too, Hannah. I was uninspired by traditional “art” yesterday, so I turned to children’s book illustrations, my absolute favorite. Loved this one.
That is SUCH a good idea, Miss De!! I’ll have to remember to do that from time to time. It is good medicine for the muse, indeed! Smiles!
One of my favorite stories! and you did such a beautiful job (as usual). Love the “soiled pink ears” and “crazy world un spun”
