Bootstraps

Pull yourself up and out and on
-to something much less fragile.
Tie them loose, though, for bare
-foot is best in these shifting

sands. Help yourself to second
helpings and thirds and fourths,
if that’s your thing. Pay no atten
-tion to the starving man in the

corner; he’s been here awhile.
Wait. Maybe ask him one quest
-ion, tell him one lie. Has he
been to hell and back yet? Have

you?
