apostrophe pup

photo copy 10kiera kai love jackson, in a slightly less apostrophic state.

.
she curls along my back
in possessive contract
-ions of comfort, waiting
and wiggly and warm.

she snuggles in deep and
she sighs in her sleep,
spooned on the edge
of my dream.

  1. OMG, this is so adorable – look at that puppy face. You’re killing me here as I so badly want/need a puppy.

There could not be a more perfect poem about a puppy, no there certainly could not!

ha. my cat does the same…wants to be right at my neck….head tucked under my chin, maybe it is feeling our breathe…or the pulse there at the neck…or through our chests…

  4. Sara v says:

That is so adorable, and the words–I’m all warm and fuzzy just reading them 🙂

  5. Is she sleeping with those two balls in her mouth? If so, she’s quite possessive 🙂 As well as very cute.
Very creative thinking – to think of her as an apostrophe — a truly poetic thought! I like “possessive contract – ion” !
