Echo

(a Triolet)

.

There’s a murmur in her heart,
but they can’t find it –
the tissue is too scarred.
There’s a murmur in her heart
and once it’s torn apart,
they’ll try to bind it.
There’s a murmur in her heart,
but they can’t find it.

  1. Triolet. I like that; thanks for sharing that musical form with us!

  2. Susan says:

Tears here. Though murmurs are not usually fatal, I responded to the torn.

  3. I have one of these. And they don’t always hear it.
I like the repetition, and the idea of the murmur just being a metaphor for love.

  4. Beautiful and sad. Definitely magical like all your work!

  5. Wonderful use of the triolet.
