to a Mermaid blogger, darkly

give her an aquamarine green
ink, and she’ll dip her fin in
(gin)
stain this paper sea in cobalt,
and vanilla foam.

give her something more in a wine
-red, she’ll open a vein and spread
(sin)
sear-bright-stained moles in vibrant
holes across the page, to
-ward home.

    Gorgeous:

    “give her an aquamarine green
ink, and she’ll dip her fin in” … I love green pens.

“stain this paper sea in cobalt,
and vanilla foam.” … paper sea; what amazing imagery

    “gin sin” … Ha!

  3. Oh my… yes, get those moles far away to their mole home, wherever that may be (anywhere but on me!)
I think this mermaid needs to stay away from the sauce! 🙂

  4. Irene says:

I really like how moles helped along our pieces this week. Yours — “sear-bright-stained moles in vibrant
    holes across the page,”–is brilliant.

  5. Love that first stanza esp.
