Spin

Counter
-clockwise is best, against
the grain,
across axis and all the other
false-drawn lines in between.

Put on your best blush
-colored shades
(future’s so bright you gotta),
and your Cheshire Cat
grin. Drink deep of joy,
Love. You’re ready
to be
-gin.
….

You can come to my party anytime.
I could be late a few days myself having most weekdays filled with little people from dawn to dusk.

Shaken not stirred. Mz Bond I presume?

  2. Yes, counter-clockwise opens things up! Spin and be gin! Very clever!

I’ve read this several times, but I’ve felt like I was missing something. The first line was a clue, but I wanted to get a handle on it before I commented. I just had my “aha” moment. This is about spinning tops on a counter(top). About playing with toys, even as an adult. So I’m picturing a moms’ night in, with girlfriends. There may be some fruity gin drinks sitting on the counter, but these ladies are also just having silly fun together … spinning tops, and such. And maybe they’re not imbibing. Maybe you’re saying that instead of drinking gin, they should BE the gin. I’ll tell you what, there is no better “high” or “intoxication” than uncontrollable laughter. Man, I want to have one of these playdates with friends. I’m calling my best (local) gal pal today to try to schedule lunch with her. If ever there were a person I could spin tops with, it’d be her. 🙂

Funny, I know this, but keep forgetting. Floating with the flow is so much easier I barely wonder why I’m bored.

    Makes me want to dance.

  6. I’m grinning, spinning, be-gin-ing to drink bourbon!
