How much better to have a “con-science” that won’t quit instead of none at all. I suppose. Though it can fill you with self-doubt. And tiny beasties! This is a great one to dedicate to all young women just trying to find their way out there!
You pretty much have to choose your path based on the directions given by the ward-compass when you’re a parent.
I like what you did in breaking the line at “sound,” meaning “sound advice from crickets” (i.e., Pinocchio).
The trouble stuck in her craw and bonnet (i.e., stomach and brain) is a “be.” She wants to. Be, that is. But all she can seem to do is pop out babies (“tiny beasties”). They are also her thoughts … the tiny beasties, I mean.
The “con-science that just won’t quit” is basically all the thoughts in her head that turn her away from God, that make her doubt and lose faith.
pea-sized
peace-ized
peace-iced
peach-iced
peach-icked
LOL. I wish I could turn off that glitch in my brain. It gets annoying sometimes … to be unable to just read/hear words as words and not twist them into other things.
tiny beast eyes, tiny bee/be sties (sty-es)
tiny besties … your babies (and thoughts) are your best friends, even when they give you the most trouble and heartache
I love the assortment of critters and your line breaks as always…brilliant. :)!
