pops up
like a lemon drop
and I’ve not yet
had my second cup,
and for a little cotton
candy sky bit,
the world holds
her perfect breath.

I totally love the lemon drop and cotton candy.
We saw a cotton candy sunrise one day last week – so beautiful and fleeting. And though it happens every day I am always amazed at how fleeting it is each time. It never lasts long enough. But isn’t that just life for you?
I love that first stanza – it sounds really good out loud!
