This is just to stay.

Oh, wait. Did I say
that love was not
a summer’s day?

And then the breeze
blew in, pulled plums
from trees and teased
my tired winter skin.

I think I’m slowly thaw
-ing, love. Let’s count
the ways to petal praise
and begin anew, again.

..
This is a palinode, a redactment of my poem from yesterday: This is just to say.

(Still dabbling with the NaPoWriMo prompts.)

spring and summer shivers are so much different than winter’s shivers. This one really flowed

  4. Shawna says:

Again, cracking UP over your plum play. You little minx. 🙂

    “blew in, pulled plums
    from trees and teased
    my tired winter skin”
