Calling Workman’s Comp About Her Broken Heart

Don’t defecate
where you dine,

But she didn’t
listen, and so here
she is,

bossed
crossed
tossed
lost,
bearing
(wearing)
nothing but
a
pink
slip.

Pink slip…best last line for this poem.

  3. lip honey says:

OMG, De! This is fantastic! I agree on the cleverness in “pink slip.” But that opening gives the ending some pretty hilarious competition for the greatness-prize.

  4. I love the title! 🙂

  5. PSC says:

Oh MY! Well done — from start to finish!
