paper thatching

..

we smolder slowly,
jute rafts on a looking
glass sea. we

wither once
under this dense
canopy, tiny female
grinding stones
with altered
hydrology. we

are persevering
narrow leaves,
white incense scabs
wandering this
thousand-year-old
…………………sky.

  1. This is very soothing. That last stanza – very inspiring. “jute rafts on a looking / glass sea” – just beautiful. I love the rhyming in that second stanza.

  2. Mia says:

    Good heavens. This is GORGEOUS.

  3. Mia says:

Tiny female can o’ pee. Hilarious. 🙂

    I’m crazy over these, too:
    “white incense scabs”
“jute rafts on a looking glass sea”
    “wither once”
