Painting Snails

..

We just painted
and named
16 snails.

’Cuz that’s what you do
when you wanna say
hellooooo
to 16 adorable snails.

Hellooooo, Indigo.
Hellooooo, Mud.
Hellooooo, Ocean.

Hellooooo, Fuchsia.
Hellooooo, Pinky.
Hellooooo, Hugh.

Hellooooo, Cloud, and Camo
and Cotton Candy.
Hellooooo, Pacifica, Sunset,
and Forest and Grammy.
And Sloan, and Sunny
and Tahoe, too.

We love the way
you’re not all the same.
And tomorrow,
we’ll be able to call you
by name.

Helloooooooooo.

You are now officially nutty. I love you but just sayin’.

I love this. It reminds me of all the fun we’ve had naming litters of puppies over the years. Kids (and their parents) can come up with the cutest names! I don’t think this is nutty at all. It’s just Mom-nutty, I guess. But this is exactly the mind-frame in which I reside, so I get it, 100%.

My favorites of your names are Mud, Camo, Cotton Candy, Sloan, and Sunny. Do you and Z name the animals where you volunteer, or do they already have names?

Margo just means all the poetry is setting in and making me punchy. 😉

The ones at Roos N More already have names. Though the three baby cavis didn’t, so we named them Spring (she could jump straight up in the air like 3 feet), Summer and Autumn. 😉

  3. What a cool idea. Since they don’t have ears and you can’t tag them! Welcome back, you can say! Would you like some spots today? Or stripes? Or maybe a sprinkling of glitter!

Hahaha! Oh, how I love you my sweet-n-silly friend!
