My collar is itchy
and I’m twitchy
with longing. I
want to cast
off all façade
and plait my fin
-gers through this
crimson soil, forget
myself. Perhaps
if I just lie
down right here,
…..the sky
will embrace my
skin, and swallow
…………me whole.

I especially like from “Perhaps” through to the end. And now I’m off to look up that painter. I really like that style!
Yes, I think that is a perfect title for that picture.
” I
want to cast
off all façade
and plait my fin
-gers through this
crimson soil, forget
myself.”…………………….. love that
I will take the spot next to you…itchy twitchy and all…nice
“twitchy with longing” …… great description
Well, there will be a row of us lying there. I’m in.
Ummm…yup, I’m there…I’ve so wholly felt this feeling before. Awesome capture, De. 🙂
I love how the sky can do that!
What a beautiful painting and what a job you’ve done pointing out what’s in it.
My little one was trying to rhyme things with our cat “Rich” yesterday – itch & twitch were in there, so this reminded me of that!
“Plait my fingers through this soil” – a very cool image. And I love how the title ties is all together!
Yes, I want to lie down too and listen to the wind in the tops of those trees.
