  1. Kir Piccini says:

If I don’t read you once a day I get sad and uneasy. Your words always bring me such clarity, such comfort.

  2. Wow, wow…de!! You bring out the style and give it new wings and skin, too!! Love the amphibious portion and the entirety…you rocked this poem and challenge! 🙂

  3. julespaige says:

…because Whim’s after it…. clever one you are. Go after it all and get it!
That last stanza – pulls it all together nicely. 😉

Just because we can’t dance, doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy the music…. reinterpretation can be fun. Do you remember there was a time (especially for women) that we were encouraged to ‘say No’ – though it could work for any advances that were not appropriate for anyone. Thanks for stopping by.

  4. Oh, you blew the e.e. cummings out of the water with this one. Perfect parentheses, happy hyphens, and the insert of Yourself with Whim! This is so you, De. I forget about cummings.

  5. Reblogged this on angieinspired and commented:
This is how she does it. De-light full

  6. I agree – I like your version even better! I absolute LOVE the first stanza. The whole thing makes me feel sleepy – in a good, lullaby sort of way!

Use your words.
