..
what a joke one breath can be.
(there it goes. did you miss it?)
there’s a particular significance to morning.
(now it’s over. did you kiss it?)
i think perhaps my san
-ity is slipping.
i am currently
consorting with clouds,
contemplating crave
and cultivating the art
of already regretting
the second
cup of coffee
I’m already
sipping.
..
Time exists in abundance on the treadmill! And there are much more tragedies than 2 cups of coffee! But yes, a second, a minute can change everything. But we need to just hold on to what we can control (coffee) and let go of what we can’t.
I LOVE this title. Yes. Yes. Yes. I really hope you’re writing today. Have you started techno-free Sundays yet? I took my daughters’ phones away last night; I’m SOOOO sick of the youtube garbage.
“there’s a particular significance to morning.

This poem is very cute and funny, but I really needed this pair of lines this morning. The day is really pressing down on me already. We have a lot of PLANS this weekend, and that makes me feel anxious. Just kiss the morning. That’s a great place to start. Redeem the day before it even thinks to go awry. 😉
We haven’t started our tech-free Sundays yet. Still too hot here to do anything outside. We have back-to-back destination weddings these next two weekends, so hopefully after that it will cool down some. Hope your weekend went smoothly and joyfully!
