(h)eave of sighs

see that place where the (r)oof
meets the sky? shall i
save a place for us there,
within the swallow’s song?
how long
have we wandered?

is it
to crave home?

So these are people who feel like dogs, being “hounded” by the HR department at “work.” But maybe they work at home, so their spouses must be their HR departments. 😉 Then there’s also a fat Eve (eve of sighs/size) in there. I can certainly relate to this feeling.

So true, that we hide our best songs/howls in our swallows (saliva).

I love your closing. Is it “I sit” time, or is it “see rave” time at home? I personally live for having raves in my kitchen. 🙂 But I’m also fond of “I sit” time.

  2. 🙂 This is for the child who runs away… then doesn’t quite know where to go and can’t help but “crave home”!

Finding a poem by you is like finding a small treasure, dear De.
