smells like cotton
candy caramel corn sway,
and the way
the top of the ferris wheel
tilted us toward
heaven.

The carnival backdrop is so alive with olfactory possibilities, yes you packed this tiny piece like a master sausage maker, stretching the skin with spicy goodness; but still, naughty me, I wonder how the moon would smell from behind an outhouse or a sewage plant; smile.
