alternate realities

..

the moon’s
a balloon
full of pretty
people, sliding
faces st(r)ung
by stars.

the sun’s
the one
we painted
that day we had
orange joy
to spare.

I like the sharpness hidden in this whimsical piece.

  6. hedgewitch says:

Light as the balloon, but also as strong since it can carry so many, and the contrasting stanza only makes each one more itself. Which is to say, enjoyed it very much.

  7. Love your thoughts on this, de!! Closing with paint of orange spare joy…yes!! That every day could hold some of that color!
