Spam from a Dead Friend

(for Clarence)

How strange
to see your name
in my inbox, after nearly a year.

I know
it’s not really you,
but I can’t help but wish it so.

Shall we
adventure today?
Play with words, laugh, feast,
follow that silly moon?

At least
stare at some scattered sky
and wonder why
you left so soon.
