corkboard poem

she’s been a
-broad, pass
-port in hand,
standing on a distant
shore. she’s pinned

and pined, postcards
of mind and heart
to distant shore.

she’s pushed and
and all but shushed
the voice that says
some things must
stay. she’s

likely now to un
-cork her bored,
and step
into the waves
and play.

  1. Shawna says:

Wow. This is really tight, the way you embedded “moustaches” …
    stay. she’s”

You almost got that past me! There are also some “dashes” and “stashes” after that “must.”

It sucks to be a dissed ant.

Love that ruse-head/he’d. Maybe a rose in there too.

I wonder if she’s stay-ing, or if there’s been a stay of execution.

Ha ha ha. Cork her bored. You’re a riot.

and step, s/tap, steep … I used to tap, you know. 🙂
