It’s Monday, and

The world’s all
worn and wallowed; swallowed
by its own storms. Spark me
something new, some hue that
says we might bleed ink,
think ourselves (once, again)
sane. Explain

to me (and this lonely broken
sky) why we spin
and nothing stays the
same.

A second offering for the Quadrille over at dVerse. I’m hosting. Come play!

  1. This is wonderful. The sane. Explain… great.

  2. I have to believe that nothing stays the same because we grow. And I, for one, do not want to stagnate. You are in a philosophical mood, De. And its so good.

Because when we write the world changes a bit for the better.

Loved the “spark” in this one. I agree with the world being “swallowed by it’s own storms”.

I agree, this is immensely deep and philosophical ❤️ Love it, De 🙂

    ‘The world’s all
worn and wallowed; swallowed’ – wonderful, De!
    ‘…Spark me
    something new, some hue that
says we might bleed ink’ – oh yes please!

  7. “lonely, broken sky” – beautiful. The world seems scary at the moment, but we must have hope.

Nice first two lines with the world being worn, wallowed.
