the small significance of slow beginnings

she is breathing
in the new, out
the long cold
way the sky slants
too far south.

she is practicing the
art of both chai and chi.

she poems soft,
ponders clouds,

keeps her wishes in a jar,
curls hungry fingers
’round a star.

Happy New Year. It’s Quadrille week over at dVerse. Come play!
