{It Dawns on Her}
..
Oh,
that damn sun comes up
again. And coffee fills her
cup again and one day’s
not enough again and it’s
all kind of getting under
her skin. The adieu of
moon, the tilted sky. The
where, the always, and the
why.
..
Miz Q has us writing aubade-ish today. If you search “aubade” in the search box to the right on my blog, you’ll see I am deeply enamored of these, in all their many possibilities and off-beat irreverent forms. 😉
Coffee has to be the best part of morning! A lovely scent to wake up to. 🙂 >
“The adieu of
moon, the tilted sky” beautiful and coffee is a strong reason for getting out of bed.
Thanks, Debi. Also, the only reason not to crawl back in. 😉
I just love the tilted sky! Abd thid, with the repetition of again, would do perfectly for the repetition MTB at dVerse.
I thought that, too, but I want to write one specifically for that prompt today. 😉 Working on it now.
And a very good slant it is. I like getting up in the middle of the night to see the moon.
Though at certain times of the month at dawn or dusk, moon and sun share the sky.
