Because I could not stop

,
ghost me a whisper-dawn,
scar-curled meltmoon setting
in her shimmercloud sway.

shadow me a sonnet-grin,
an open jar of sparks,
spilling bubble-breeze.

this rose has thorns.
(cue tattered leaves,
green,
twisted in
melted breath.)

my friend,
fool death.

skip the journey,
…..seize the end.

Fabulous opening lines and wonderful wordplay throughout, De! (And I love the aside in brackets!)

  4. Stunning wordplay…you make it look so easy….the challenge now for me is not to use other poems phrases or repeat my own, from the series.

  6. Amazing words, especially in that first stanza!
