Ursula Finds Her Song

So,
I’m the bad guy.
(Or so they say.)

But let’s be fair:
she gave it away.

She wanted legs.
(Poor unfortunate
soul.)

It wasn’t enough
to have this whole
wide ocean wave
her way.

So save your boos
and your disdain.

Here I am,
the darker choice,
given voice

,

or so it’s said of villains
………………{and poets.}

  1. I’m right with you, dear Ursula. I’ve no idea why people think you evil–darkly imaginative, perhaps… even a tad extreme. But evil? Of course not. Like you said, legs don’t come cheap.

    LOVE this, De!

  2. Kerry says:

I always thought the sea witch was kind of cool.. hardcore in terms of customer returns.

  3. Rommy Driks says:

Ursula was very up front about the price, that’s true. 😀 The tone of this is delightfully brassy, just like I’d imagine hers would be.

  4. Rosemary Nissen-Wade says:

Yeah, fair enough. She told it like it was, and it was a free, informed choice.

  5. She speaks her truth, that’s for sure! Good one, De.

  6. Jim says:

Some women are hard to please. On the other hand, he has the whole sky giving approval to him.

  7. Marian says:

… and poets, hah! You know, I always thought that, what? The entire ocean is not enough? Sigh.

  8. sanaarizvi says:

Oooh I love this! You give a strong and sassy voice to Ursula 😀

  9. Broadway certainly gave her a couple of show stopping songs! 🙂
