swearing by flowers

….

since
i have decided
to make syntax
part of the fabric
of my kisses,
misses,
bliss,

i am far
happier here

………….(each petal a tear.)

  2. Kerry says:

This is such a satisfying read, and of course, who could ever read cummings and not feel touched on an intrinsic level by his soul magic?

  3. ❤️ misses (Ms.) syntax 😘

  4. ManicDdaily says:

  5. sanaarizvi says:

Love your use of parenthesis here, De!❤️ Most charming write 😀

  6. Jim says:

Oh little flower, please don’t wilt after the rabbit sits on you and chews some leaves.
I love the Syntax bit for the kisses and misses and even the bliss. Were you ever in the military? Every thing there is regimented and covered by regulation to quote if there came a problem situation.
Love it De, clever, well composed, concise. Syntax? O well, writing isn’t on your list.

  7. Rosemary Nissen-Wade says:

Oh yes, cummins was being a vile (if charming) seducer, for sure. That’s telling him! (Yet your parenthetical phrase suggests some lingering regret.)

  8. Oh poetic seduction, I agree with Rosemary.

  9. Clever, very YOU and leaves a question hanging.

  10. rosemawrites says:
