Oh, there are plenty o’ people
in her
(neighborhood)
(house)

,
plenty of noisy cacophonous
……….(crowds)
traces of business
and busy-ness
and messy-mess
and who and where
and when and why.
But she’s an introverted soul,
with a pen

Paul’s our new host with the most over at dVerse, and today he’s got us pondering community. Come play!
A pen can be a community for a writer.
Preach it! 🙂
Being alone is not the same as being lonely. There are plenty of people around if one needs their services or company. I can see how being introverted is very peaceful.
That pen-chant for the sky was lovely brush of the introverted soul De ~ Love the title too ~
fantastic line break and close ~
Oh yes…pen….chant for the sky….wonderful to have your magic in the community De. Beautiful response to the prompt.
Love this De! I love the way you’ve given the persona and the reader of the poem choices in brackets, especially ‘Oh, there are plenty o’ people / in her … (face)! That made me smile. I also liked the list of ‘nesses’! I can feel all of that as another ‘introverted soul, with a pen’. When I get back from Bounce and Rhyme at the library, I’m going out on to the football pitch to ‘chant for sky’!
Yes… that’s exactly the kind of community we need sometimes… today the sky is solid grey (perfect for writing actually)
Love your words and love being introverted too. Often I am my own community and I am grateful I exist there.

Delightful … especially the pen…chant for sky!
I read this aloud. Love it! 🙂
But she’s an introverted soul,
with a pen
…………….-chant for sky.
It appears poets and writers may just be by themselves. Very true in some instances. They have enough on their plate to keep them busy, perhaps!

Very true. and I like the form here…..there is never a dull moment when you have a pen…chant for the sky, whether it is sunny, raining, blowing, snowing…a dreamer’s world.
