little blanket fort


don’t bother us. we are covered
in chat and chalk.

we’re not hiding. we’re abiding
here in all this fluff and
pillowed talk and downy den.

it’s too really loud out there. we want
only slow moon and these
purple and turquoise tutus
and entirely too much

save your pleas for later.
we are solving all the problems
of the whole wide world
with sparkle markers
and pixie sticks and
a smile.

you might as well take a seat.
this could take awhile.
