aubade for all things fading, strong

{fare thee well, april}

Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.
– Semisonic, Closing Time

a smoothness which
sings,saying
(though love be a day)
do not fear,we will go amaying.
– E.E. Cummings

..

April bends, ends
with a shudder and a sigh
-lence. we fall, and recall
the violence of muse, the
woo of wordwinds clicked
……….(clacked)
together just right,
the kern-turned nights
and fight for phrase.

we think, we shall not write
a single ’nother
poem
today.

but perhaps,
tomorrow,
………………we May.

..

A final poem for Poetic Asides April PAD Challenge, day 30. Exhausted, and thankful for a month of poem-flow. Congratulations to all who hung in there. 😉

I really enjoyed this part as well
    “woo of wordwinds clicked
    ……….(clacked)
    together just right,”
