worst case: the clocks don’t wake.

no tick-tock rock a
-bye to try and tease
me into animated state.

no hands to take the day
in stilted seconds.

no numbered phase.
no captured trace.
no era caught.

on second thought,
you tease,

………………..yes, please.

Such a fun and cheery piece. Thanks for joining in this week, De.

  2. Love the “stilted seconds”, De! Fun poem to read.

  3. S says:

I love this poem. It reminds me of that fabulous “Rockabye” song. Such pleasing rhythm throughout. A joy to read.

  4. Jules says:

Reminds me of a gentle minimalist view that the Amish take…
I’ve hear that they use their wind up clocks and when the sun is at it’s highest point in the sky – that is when it is Noon for the day. But then they don’t rely on clocks. 😉
