force quit

would you blame us
for taking this all the way
to the edge,
all the way to the
where the questions
are few?

nobody asked us
what we wanted.

nobody suggested
we weren’t complete.

and yet here we are,

in april, we poem. sometimes they write themselves.

3 Responses to force quit

  1. The last three lines (words)!!

  2. qbit says:

    ……………delete.” – Amazing.

  3. Shawna says:

I can’t *not* see “quilt” in the title, so I’m right off the bat seeing a circle of ladies working on a quilt together, but maybe they are not really in the mood or not agreeing on how to do it, so they’re forcing themselves to quilt. 🙂

There’s all that depth inside of them — things they want to talk about — but they aren’t because they’re just filling in their stereotypical slots, doing the job society expects them to do, when really they might just want to be biker chicks or something wilder. 😛

Use your words.
