rebel breeze

..

don’t stand down
-wind of this poem;
she’ll blow
……………..(her top)
you away
with her intricate
spin. she’s in

-sane, deranged
and estranged
from her own phrase.

she’s lost her power
somewhere between
the devil and the deep

blue
ink, i think.

……………..(don’t blink)
,
or you’ll never see
……………………her
…………………again.

..
in a
pril, we poem

You are the nicest poet-sister-friend EVER for doing this for me. ❤

I so love the flow of this:
    "she’s in
    -sane, deranged
    and estranged
    from her own phrase"

"her own power" there or not, I just adore this:
    "she’s lost her power
    somewhere between
the devil and the deep" … meaning that I would also like it if it said, "she's lost somewhere between the devil and the deep" … which of course makes me hear Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" in my head. Also, remember that movie? Deep End of the Ocean. So what if this is a kidnapped-girl-poem? She's probably just writing them in her head, because he'd never let her have a pen (since it could be a weapon that might lead to her escape). But she's trying to keep even her kidnapping a lighthearted thing.

LOL. "Blue" is an anagram for "lube." 😛

I don't like this reading; it's too scary and sad. But I do love the poem!!!

Can you imagine having to try to keep your breeze and power (and mind) while you're trapped in a stagnant, no-air-flow room? 😦
