ambivalent bumfuzzled poet

i just don’t wanna play today
                  (no way),
just wanna sit on my bum
and say
    (oh, hey!)
let’s build a blankey fort
and doodle away some time,
and maybe write just one line,
while the moon’s a golden bumbershoot
in an indigo sky.

This poem bum is in charge of this week’s Quadrille. Come (not) play with me.

    How gorgeous.

I like the idea of writing one line being enough. I also like the idea of a bumbershoot moon being made of one arced line of poetry. Like how I want one pale line of cursive writing as a tattoo on my side.

  2. Sounds like a good time to me. Nicely done.

Stellar closing image, De! This is such gorgeously, lighthearted write 😀 Thank you so much for the glorious prompt, it was fun qua-drilling with you 😉

Nothing in the world is better than a blankey fort.

A lovely way to bum away a day!

Well, that poem just went bumbling along amiably and ended with a smile!

  8. One line poem … that is often enough. American sentences maybe 🙂
