that it’s a circle, really,
more hula-hoop than hopscotch.
We’ve been here
a time or two, my friend,
where both the mad

go ’round.
And so we spin.

Yesterday, today, nice words done. Like what you’re doing here.
Thank you so much.
I love how this circles back (cycles back)? Wish me luck on NOVPAD 2022. I haven’t written in years, but I’m doing this as an exercise with my therapist. Love and blessings.
Buddah!!! I’m so happy to see you out here in the poem-isphere! Wishing you luck, peace, and joy.
BUDDAH! How wonderful to see you and hear that you are poeming! Such a GREAT blast from the past!
Hula-hoop hopscotch. 🥰 Lovely.
Thanks, Misky. 🙂
I love the nods to Taylor Swift and “Spin the Bottle.” 🙂
This could be about friends or a couple that go(es) round and round. Or, this could be heavier, because, inside “except,” I see a pregnancy test (again?) and a broken-up couple. So maybe they’ll get back together because a baby’s on the way.
The older my kids get, the more it all feels like a circle. One step forward, two steps back, giant leaps for mankind. It’s all a blur, and certainly nonlinear. All we can do along the way, is play.
I’m going to try to do things this November:
1. Write as many days as I can, knowing realistically it won’t be many.
2. Visit your site as many days as I can. What a great excuse to actually take the spec of time it takes to visit one poet to be fed by her words. ❤
P.S. PLEASE … no need to reciprocate. I am doing this for me. 🙂
Awww. You’re the sweetest, ma’am. Thank you. I’m humbled.
