poem drops

..

some days, the ocean
lends her salty skin
to all these words,
her feathered waves
to quill. her violent
will to pull of moon
and midnight sky.

some days
i spill. some days
………………i dive.

Crazy awesome title. “Poem Drops” are candies … like lemon drops, but sweeter (and yet, somehow saltier as well).

  2. Janet says:

this literally made my heart slip a beat. love. love!!

  3. What expressions! A vivid imagery caress the verse..Loved it!

  4. Amrita Paul says:

    Love the title….unique.

  5. This is so evocative. Love it!

  6. I like the way your last lines make a kind of diving board shape! Yes, the ocean and blue are your muses, indeed. I like the initial image of the ocean’s salty skin – and then the feathery waves. And I suppose the trick is to dive while you’re spilling so it won’t look or feel like a spill! Great idea, but I for sure could never do that 🙂
