its secrets to the walls and calls its peril-portent across these
unquiet halls. I’ll make him love me, forget all about that Anna
-bel’s tin(type)tinnabulation and the cravings of casks and
masques. Louder, louder, he’ll hear my beat. I’ll bring him ’round,
-delay his threaded sound for the flesh and blood thrum of a new
war. Together, we’re an unformed arabesque scroll, a new cove
-nant in a salt kingdom by the sea. Favor me the strumming
of a lonesome cricket moon, the hungry branches of a birch that
cannot reach the sky. An usher’s fall. A trochaic door. I’ll hold him,
