why and wherefore

..

this poem
has a point,
a purpose.

she’s poised
to change the
world, perhaps,

with her iambi(c)
-tion, her diction
or her daisychain
dismay –

to give it some
new sense of
………..(humor, space)
sway.

or maybe it’s
a porpoise,
a tiny dolphin sliver
of silver around her
neck that says
just keep swimming.

in april, we poem. with porpoise.

I am dying over this beautiful-ness:

    “or maybe it’s
    a porpoise,
    a tiny dolphin sliver
    of silver around her
    neck that says
    just keep swimming.”

  2. Jay Bleu says:

So perfect. Am I writing to change the world? For something bigger than me? Or sometimes just to keep my sanity?

  3. Ali Grimshaw says:

This so speaks to me, every word and especially the “just keep swimming.” Thank you.

  4. qbit says:

    “or maybe it’s
    a porpoise,
    a tiny dolphin sliver
    of silver around her
    neck that says
    just keep swimming.” – perfect.
