She of feathers. She of song.
She of longing and hope
perched deep. She of unquiet
sleep and azure dreams. She
of distant shores and shadowed
bars. She of want and wandered
things. She stands. Stills,

    I love the way you sneaked in, “She stand-stills things,” at the end.

    P.S. “Caged” = “Ca(lifornia) GED.” 🙂

    So to me, this becomes about her … the girl who was only able to get a GED but has big dreams, and an even bigger heart. She’s going to be somebody, even if only to herself.
