Run Four (and a Little More)

in the humidity.
in the humility.
in the hummm-idity of a new day.

through the rainy breeze.
through the whispering trees.
through the raging seas of your own crazy brain.

run four (and a little more)
to clear your mind. to find
your soul. to take control of heart
-beat, shuffled feet, tired self.

run it slow
{uphill}
;
run it fast
{right back on down}
and crown yourself sane,
fears slain,
……………dragons tamed.

  1. Fabulous photos, De! That first one is amazing in its fierceness. Love the wordplay in your poem, especially that first stanza.
